I am trying to install openVXML into my eclipse(helios). I tried the site
that was mentioned in the forum,
http://download.eclipse.org/technology/vtp/helios/
but I cannot access it. Is there another method I could use to install the
software? I was able to download VTP-3.0_12008630.zip, which contains the
jar files, but there is no install software. Can I simply copy the jar files
to the eclipse/plugins or do I need to create a directory (maybe
org.eclipse.vtp) in the plugins directory?
Thanks for your help,
Tom G

I used Help, Install new software. Then I copied the
http://download.eclipse.org/technology/vtp/helios site into the "work
with"box and then hit "add". Another box appeared with the title "Add
repository". It wanted the name and location filled in. I tried several
options and could never get it to work. It just locked up my eclipse
session.

Then I tried using the "available SoftwareSites" option. I was able to add
the new site, but it still would not connect.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Tom

I just went through the process on a clean eclipse and didn't seem to have any issues connecting to the update site. It may have been a temporary outage of the Eclipse download servers. Let me know if it still doesn't work for you.

I tried againi this morning. I went to the Install new software page and
inserted http://download.eclipse.org/technology/vtp/helios/ in the Work with
box. The message in the lower right corner said: "fetching children of T
...ology_VTP:(0%)". It sat there fro a few minutes. Eventually it reached
50%, but then a popup appeared which said:
"Unable to connect to repository
http://download.eclipse.org/technology/vtp/helios/content.xml
org.eclipse.eqinox.p2.core.ProvisionException" The details box repeated the
same message and added "Connection timed out: connect".
The error log shows the same messages.
I am attempting this at a company site. They might be blocking the
connection for some reason. I will try it again tonight from my home site.
If you can think of any other reason for this error, pleas elet me know.
Thanks,
Tom

I was able to get the openVXML loaded by installing it from scratch
including Eclipse. The Eclipse version is Galileo - I was using Helios. I
was able to get a simple application written, but when I deploy it to a
Toncat server, it has errors. I can use my web browser to get to the
starting page, and then I can navigate through the application by pasting
the "next" values into my browser after the application name, but when I
call in, I get an error message with no log.
I am using Cisco's UCCX to call in and navigate to the page. I put the page
address using Test01/Test01 (the name of the application) into the web
browser in UCCX.
I noticed that in the start page the variables PLATFORM_ANI and
PLATFORM_DNIS are set to "session.connection.remote.uri" and "local.uri".
In the LoadVXML script that we are using in UCCX, we pass callerid and
calledid as the ANI and DNIS. Do you think this could be causing the error?
Thanks for your help,
Tom
